Oil transportation from Iraq to Turkey has been suspended due to technical problems on the Kirkuk-Yumurtalik oil pipeline, the Haberturk newspaper reported on September 14.

It hasn’t been revealed what kind of technical problem caused the suspension of oil transportation.

Turkey receives oil from Iraq via the Kirkuk-Yumurtalik pipeline.

The first branch (986 kilometers) of this oil pipeline was built in 1977, while the second branch with the length of 890 kilometers was constructed in 1987.
