Opening the forum, its founder and chairman Professor Klaus Schwab offered each of its 2,400 participants to bring home at least one "transformation" idea that will help to change the world. Taking part in the forum this year will be more than 40 heads of state and government. In all, representatives of more than 100 countries are expected to arrive in Davos.
