Furkat Sidikov, who has been appointed Uzbekistan’s ambassador to Pakistan has left for Islamabad, Uzbekistan’s Foreign Ministry said.
He replaced Parviz Aliyev who served in this position from September 2012 to June 2015, said the ministry.
Prior to this appointment, Sidikov served as the first secretary of Uzbekistan ’s embassy in the US.
Bahodir Abdullayev, who has been appointed Uzbekistan ’s ambassador to Iran , left for Tehran last week, according to the Foreign Ministry.
Prior to this appointment, Abdullayev worked at the Institute of Strategic and Regional Studies under the president of Uzbekistan.
Previously, Uzbekistan’s diplomatic mission in Iran was led by Ilham Akramov who was dismissed from this post in June 2015.
