Thailand consulate temporarily closed in Turkey

Thailand has temporarily closed its consulate in Turkey’s Istanbul city, as well as its embassy in Ankara, Hurriyet newspaper reported July 10.

Reportedly, this decision has been made due to the attack on Thailand’s consulate in Istanbul July 9.

Over 200 people burst in the consulate’s building in Turkey’s Istanbul city - members of the “East Turkestan Culture and Cooperation Association” who are against handing over the Uyghurs detained in Thailand to China.
