
Seven people were killed as a result of a shooting incident at a regional office of the Turkish Statistics Institute in Kars, Sabah newspaper reported on March 19 citing a source in the police.
An employee who was dismissed from the Institute opened fire in the building. As a result, six people were killed, three of them police officers.
It also reported that the offender shot himself after the incident.
It was earlier reported that a shootout occurred at one of the restaurants in the Turkish city of Kayseri.
A criminal case has been filed.
