EU countries call to wait for UN report before Syria strike

EU countries called the U.S not to start military activities against Syrian authorities until UN report about the facts of the use of chemical weapons in Syria is published, RIA Novosti reported citing Associated Press agency.

This was proposed by the countries at the meeting of EU Inter-Parliamentary Conference for the Common Foreign and Security Policy in Vilnius on Saturday.

U.S president seeks the Congressional approval of military operation against Syria in connection with August 21 occasions when according to American intelligence, over 1,400 people were killed as a result of using chemical weapon near Damascus.
