Pope Francis eyes Turkey visit in 2014

Pope Francis I will pay an official visit to Turkey in November 2014, Zaman newspaper said on Monday.

According to the newspaper, the Pope will visit Istanbul, but he is also expected to pay a brief visit to Ankara.

Pope Francis I was elected in March 2013. His predecessor Benedict XVI visited Istanbul in 2006.
