
In May 2013, Turkey is going to repay its debt to the International Monetary Fund, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said during his speech in parliament, TRT Haber TV channel reported on Tuesday.
According to Erdogan, Turkey's debt to IMF constitutes $6.1 billion.
"Turkey is undergoing economic reforms and it is going to continue this policy in the future," Erdogan.
When the country's ruling party came to power, it inherited debt to the IMF to the amount of $23.5 billion dollars, Erdogan added.
