The Group of six, which will hold another round of talks with Iran over its nuclear program on Tuesday, is serious in its desire to resolve the issue with Iran diplomatically, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius told Trend on the eve of his visit to Kazakhstan.

'We are grateful to the authorities of Kazakhstan for hosting the meeting. The six countries involved in the dialogue with Iran, including France, are serious in their desire to diplomatically resolve the dangerous crisis, caused by nuclear activities conducted by Iran in violation of its international obligations. We will come to a meeting in Almaty with updated proposals. We hope Iran agrees to enter into a constructive dialogue on these grounds to address serious concerns of the international community,' Fabius said.

Official visit of French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius to Kazakhstan is scheduled for March 1-2.

During the visit, Laurent Fabius is expected to meet with President Nursultan Nazarbayev and hold talks with Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov and Foreign Minister Yerlan Idrisov.

He also plans to visit the Eurocopter Kazakhstan Engineering plant which is a joint venture.

France is one of the important strategic, political and economic partners of Kazakhstan in Europe.

By the end of 2012, trade turnover between the two countries exceeded $ 6.2 billion.
