Georgian Defense Minister to meet his Azerbaijani, Armenian counterparts

The Georgian Defense Minister will discuss regional security issues in Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Alasania left for Turkey together with the Prime Minister.

Apart from bilateral relations, a cooperation plan will be discussed between the defense ministries of the two countries, the minister told journalists on Monday.

In addition, in March the minister will visit Azerbaijan and Armenia, where he will discuss military cooperation for regional security.

"Regional security cannot be provided by one country. It is necessary to use all formats of cooperation, Georgia will be one of the leading countries in this area," Alasania said.

He said joint military exercises between Georgia, Turkey and Azerbaijan are planned to take place in Azerbaijan in the near future.
