
Austrian company Gebrüder Weiss has begun construction of a premium class logistics centre. According to Tegeta Motors, the foundation laying ceremony will be held at an area adjacent to Tbilisi Airport at 14:00 on Dec.4.
The ceremony will be attended by Economy Minister George Kvirikashvili and his deputies Tea Gadrani, Irakli Matkava and Dmitry Kumsishvili, representatives of companies from Austria, Tegeta Motors management and representatives of the Turkish construction company Synergy.
"Construction of this modern logistics centre which will have no analogues in the Transcaucasia will make the country a strategic centre. Construction work will be completed within a year. The centre will serve the South Caucasus and Central Asian countries," a Tegeta Motors spokesperson said.
The Austrian company plans to invest $10 million in the construction of the centre.
