Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, proposed to create ad hoc committee and send it to Gaza to investigate the situation in the Palestinian enclave, the organization's press release says.
Thanks to the investigation of the committee it will be possible to reveal how many civilians died as a result of Israel's aggression against Gaza within a week.
Israeli Air and Naval Forces continue air strikes on the Gaza Strip for already a week. They killed hundred of Palestinians and this figure may grow significantly with deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. In addition, Israel's preparation to bring ground troops into the Palestinian enclave causes serious concern.
According to the Palestinian side, over 100 Palestinians, majority of which are civilians, including children and women were killed within the 'Pillar of cloud' operation, launched on Wednesday in the Gaza Strip.
