Azerbaijani diaspora members will be in new Georgian parliament

The Azerbaijani diaspora will be represented in the new Georgian parliament.

Ali Mammadov and Mahir Darbiyev were elected to parliament, according to Georgian Dream's party lists.

The deputy of United National Movement Azer Suleymanov won single mandate elections in Marneuli electoral district again.

Georgian Dream will have 85 deputies in parliament, while United National Movement - 65.

Georgian Dream has 44 mandates according proportional system, United National Movement -33. The coalition will have 41 majority deputies, while former ruling party - 32.

Parliamentary elections took place in Georgia on October 1. Some 2 150 197 electors took part in the elections, 54.9 per cent of which supported Georgian Dream, 40.34 per cent - United National Movement.

There are 150 deputies in Georgian parliament.
