Iran's inflation rate rises to 22.4 percent

The Iranian inflation rate has hit 22.4 percent in the third calendar month of Khordad, which ended on June 20, showing 0.2 percent compared to the previous month, the Mehr News Agency reported.

The Central Bank of Iran has reported that inflation rate has been rising since the beginning of the current calendar year on March 20.

While the inflation rate was declining in the past calendar year, it started to rise again in the current year, so that it rose from 21.8 percent in the first calendar month (ended on April 19) to 22.2 in the second month, the Fars News Agency quoted the Central Bank as saying.
