Caspian states seek ways to streamline trade

The 13th meeting of the International Council of Business Cooperation (ICBC) of the Caspian Sea littoral states wrapped up today in the Iranian northern city of Gorgan, with emphasis being centred on life visa limitations in a bid to give a boost to multilateral trade.

Transportation and banking were among the main topics of discussion at the meeting. The ICBC member states highlighted the need to adopt proper mechanisms to remove transportation and banking problems, the Mehr News Agency reported.

Representatives from the chambers of commerce of Iran, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Azerbaijan attended the meeting.

The ICBC was established by Russia, Kazakhstan and Iran chambers of commerce in 1996.
