'Iran not to refuse from nuclear rights'

11 May 2012 [14:00] - TODAY.AZ
Iran's Judiciary chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani says the Iranian nation will firmly continue to assert its nuclear rights, and the Western pressures on Tehran will never force Iranians into giving in.

“Iranians will never retreat from the firm steps they have taken on the path to access nuclear energy for peaceful purposes; the Western states must get such futile thoughts out of their heads,” Larijani said.

He also criticized the recent statement released by the European Union, which calls on Iran to suspend its uranium enrichment activities, as well as the remarks made by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the Indian capital of New Delhi about Iran.

The senior Iranian official also stated that the European countries have recently issued an illogical statement.
