'Enemies aimed at hindering Iran's progress'

13 February 2012 [17:11] - TODAY.AZ
Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says that the enemies of the Islamic Republic dread the progress of the Iranian nation with its rich and ancient culture, history and civilization.

All plots hatched by enemies are aimed at hindering Iran's progress because they are fearful of our country’s development, said President Ahmadinejad after the inauguration of six construction projects in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan on Monday.

An Iran, which is advanced in economic and scientific fields, would turn into a major obstacle against arrogant and hegemonic powers, he added.

President Ahmadinejad also cautioned that the enemies are selling weapons to the Persian Gulf countries to incite strife among them and prepare the ground for more exploitation of the region.

He reiterated the significance of reinforcing resistance against arrogant powers that oppose the dignity and welfare of other nations.
