Azerbaijan sees development in all areas amid global financial crisis, Mayor of the second sector of Bucharest Nikolae Ontsanu said at a meeting with ruling New Azerbaijan Party senior official Ali Ahmadov.

“Some European countries are experiencing economic decline and are looking for ways out of the situation. Unfortunately, measures taken are not always fruitful. However, there is development in Azerbaijan despite this,” Ontsanu said.
Romania is proud with the fact that it is one of the first countries to recognize Azerbaijan’s independence, the mayor said.
“Azerbaijan is a friendly country for Romania and the countries have high level ties,” he said.
Bucharest Mayor’s Office has played an important role in strengthening relations between Azerbaijan and Romania, Ahmadov said.
“The President and people of Azerbaijan are grateful to Bucharest for contribution to strengthening relations between the two countries,” he said.
The delegation headed by Ontsanu already visited Baku three years ago. Ontsanu an is honorary resident of Sabail district of Baku. The presidents of Azerbaijan and Romania opened park named national leader Heydar Aliyev in Bucharest.
