Krakow to host OSCE MG co-chairs' working meeting: Russian co-chair

22 July 2009 [16:00] - TODAY.AZ
On July 25-26, Krakow [Poland] will host the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs' working meeting aimed to organize the autumn meeting between the Azerbaijani and Armenian Presidents, Ilham Aliyev and Serzh Sargsyan, Russian Co-Chair Yuriy Merzlyakov said.
"I hope that it will be possible to make achievement in a meeting in Chisinau in early October which could not be made at presidents' Moscow meeting," Merzlyakov said over telephone from Moscow.

One cannot consider a bilateral meeting of the presidents in Moscow in isolation from the tripartite meeting with the Russian President Medevedev, Merzlyakov said.

"I think it has been possible to find some very interesting possible interchanges in these meetings, at least some of the issues that caused the parties' differences. There are interesting solutions, which three presidents reached together. I think it can yield a positive fruit in future," he said.

Merzlyakov said the Minsk Group co-chairs will visit the region to prepare the next meeting between the Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents in the second half of September.
