Peace in the South Caucasus is a priority of Turkey's foreign policy: ambassador

"Therefore, we support the peaceful resolution of emergency situations and conflicts in the region on the basis of respect to sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of regional states", said he speaking at the conference "Role of reforms in the law enforcement bodies and armed forces of Azerbaijan in Euro-Atlantic integration".

The ambassador noted that the main provision of the peaceful co-existence of the peoples of the region is establishment of peace and security in the region. As for the Karabakh conflict, the diplomat announced that the "forced change in the internally recognized borders as well as the resolution of problems with use of force is inadmissible in the modern world".

"Our aim is the peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict based on the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and norms of international law. Therefore, our cooperation with Azerbaijan will continue", said Kilic.
