Russian ambassador: Azerbaijan creates favorable opportunities for the development of Russian language

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin noted that Azerbaijan is an independent and sovereign State, which creates favorable conditions and opportunities for the development of the Russian language.

"And the way we take advantage of these opportunities depends on us: on Russia, which holds the state policy in this issue and on compatriots living in Azerbaijan and perform their civic duty for the development of the Russian language".

According to Novosti-Azerbaijan, the due statement was made by the ambassador in an interview, commenting on the outcome of the country conference "Compatriots in Azerbaijan towards the III World Congress of Russian compatriots abroad".

According to him, it is a very important and useful exercise.

"The conference was attended by people who are going through, feel responsibility for the Russian language in Azerbaijan, for the Russian culture, which coincides with the goals and aspirations of the Russian Public Policy»", he concluded.
