"We can not think in a different way than Azerbaijan. The principle of "one nation, two states" is important for us. The Caucasus is a very strategic region and problems in this region are very dangerous. Russia-Georgia conflict can serve as example. Truce in the Caucasus is crucial," Turkish prime minister added.

Erdogan said Turkey and Azerbaijan has a unified purpose in the Caucasus.

"While normalizing Armenia-Turkey ties, we also seek to improve Azerbaijan-Armenia relations. We inform Azerbaijan about it every time," Erdogan said.

He said during U.S. President Barack Obama's visit to Istanbul Turkey first of all asked to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and included Nagorno-Karabakh into U.S. agenda.

No one has a right to make Azerbaijan-Turkey relations matter of dispute, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said during his speech at the Azerbaijani parliament.

"Unfortunately, we saw those who wanted to undermine Turkey-Azerbaijan fraternal relations. Armenian media reported that Turkey will establish ties with out any precondition. This is slander and a lie. Whom to believe, Armenian media or prime minister and president of a country? I have stated on numerous occasions that Turkey will never compromise in the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh," Erdogan said.

The meeting focused on the current situation of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey in political, economic and other fields. The sides discussed the regional and international issues.

The Turkish prime minister arrived in Baku in the evening on May 12. Erdogan arrived in Baku in the accompany of his wife Amina Erdogan, State Minister Zefer Chaglayan, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Culture and Tourism Minister Ertogrul Gunay, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz and Transport Minister Binali Yildirim.

Turkish PM visited the grave of Azerbaijani National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the Cemetery of Honors.

Later Erdogan visited Martyrs' Lane to commemorate memory of the victims who died for independence of Azerbaijan, and the memorial complex of the Turkish soldiers in Bak

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is attending the meeting.

Speaker Ogtay Asadov made a keynote speech at the meeting. He said that Prime Minister of the friendly country had come to Azerbaijan.
“We have similar roots. We are one nation, two states. Some forces in the region and in the world envy our relations. We have always received Turkey’s support. We have always relied and will rely on each other,” he said.

Following this, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan began his speech.
