The OSCE Minsk Group Russian co-chair Yuri Merzliakov gave interview to Moscow’s Echo radio station and expressed his position on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict resolution and the Armenian-Turkish relations.

“When starting the Armenian-Turkish dialogue the parties, I mean Turkey and Armenia, made agreements to move forward without preconditions. Before, Turkey had NKR conflict resolution as a precondition. Currently, if believe in the statement made by the Foreign Ministries of Armenia and Turkey, and Switzerland as a mediator party there are no preconditions set,” the co-chair said.
According to Merzliakov the NKR resolution process and the Armenian-Turkish relations can have certain impact on each other. “The impact should a positive one, the processes should be parallel to each other,” he said.
