Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation headed by Russian Federal Assembly Federation Council Deputy Chairman Svetlana Orlova on 18 March, the AzerTaj state news agency reported.

Orlova stressed the high level of preparation for the referendum in Azerbaijan, availability of web cameras at many polling stations, full provision with facilities.
Observations were conducted at more than 40 polling stations. And it is an evidence of high level that over 43 percent of voters took part in the referendum by 12:00, she said.
During her visit to Azerbaijan, the delegation witnessed development in the country, said Orlova.
President Ilham Aliyev stressed that Azerbaijan had achieved a dynamic development in all spheres.
The officials noted successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Russia in various areas, including inter-parliamentary cooperation. They expressed confidence that the visit of the Russian delegation will further expand mutual ties.
