Mehriban Aliyeva: "Each adopted act of pardon is a victory of humanistic principles and ideas"

"In the result of this policy, laid in 1994 by great Heydar Aliyev, thousands of people were released and returned to normal life", noted she.

According to Aliyeva, these traditions continue today.

"The human life is a gift from Allah and the highest value. Every person has a right for free and worthy life. At the same time every person is an owner of his destiny. By granting freedom to those who have made mistakes, we grant them a new chance in life, forgive them and return them to the society", said the president of Heydar Aliyev's Foundation.

She said this humane step allow former prisoners to reevaluate values of life, understand their mistakes and return to the correct way of life.

"Charity, kindred, ability to forgive remain the highest human qualities", noted Aliyeva.

She called on the deputies to vote for the adoption of the act on amnesty by adhering to the aforementioned principles.

M.Aliyeva congratulated all Azerbaijani people on Novruz.
