The co-chairs of the World Azerbaijanis Congress Sabir Rustamkhanly and Firuddin Parvizniya, as well as permanent chairman of the board of the organization Azhdar Taghizade and member of the board of the World Azerbaijanis Congress Saftar Rahimli continue their visit to Georgia, according to the press service for the Congress.
According to Rustamkhanly, in the framework of the visit they held meetings with activists of the opular movement Geyryat and intellectuals in Borchali. The meeting participants discussed problems facing Azerbaijanis in their historical lands in Borchali.
"I am well familiar with the problems facing our compatriots in Borchaly. WAC as a large diaspora organization intends to strengthen its ties with Borchali, in order to inform international organizations and Council of Europe about problems of Azerbaijanis.
Georgia holds all necessary measures for democratic development. Yet this process must also refer to Azerbaijanis. Double standards are inadmissible", noted he.
In the framework of the visit to Georgia there is a plan to hold meetings with officials of the Georgian parliament.
