"The decision of a part of opposition to boycott the upcoming referendum on amendments to the Constitution of Azerbaijan on March 18 should not raise concerns", considers chairman of the Central Election Commission Mazahir Panakhov.

"There is nothing unusual in it. Certainly, different views are voiced and this is normal. I do not think that such appeals will cause any concerns", announced Panakhov commenting on the decision of the agitation groups For Karabakh and Republic and Republicans to boycott the referendum.
Panakhov also said that no complains were received during the agitation campaign.
He also notes that the availability of many questions in the bulletins to which the voters must respond will not take time.
"We will try to declare the preliminary results in the same evening, though doubts are possible about it due to a great number of questions in the bulletins", noted he.
Panakhov considers the processing of all bulletins unnecessary for declaring the preliminary results of the referendum.
"It is not necessary to wait for processing of 100% bulletins. As soon as we process the definite part of bulletins we will present information that will show the picture throughout the country", noted he.
