Milli Medjlis deputy: "Tragedy in Khojaly is among the gravest crimes, ever committed against the humanity"

"If last year the Khojaly events were mentioned only in mass medias, today protests are held in most countries in connection with this genocide", said Milli Medjlis deputy Sevindik Khatamov, according to the official website of the Yeni Azerbaijan party.

He said this is important for informing the world about the truth of Azerbaijan.

"The week of Khojaly, involving deputies of Milli Medjlis, started even in the United States. This event, along with the Azerbaijani representatives, involves the diaspora. The events, organized on the high level, prove the crimes, committed by Armenians. It all has a great influence on the public opinion. Yet, we have other tasks. People, who committed the massacres against the Khojaly civilians, must be brought to responsibility.

Naturally, our country holds all necessary events to recognize the developments in Khojaly as a genocide. In particular, the prosecutor's office of the country held an investigation and revealed those who are responsible for this tragedy. The hostage residents of Khojaly said in their testimonies and the people who tortured them are currently occupying leading positions. The tragedy in Khojaly is among the most grave crimes, committed against the humanity", said Khatamov.
