The Azerbaijani delegation in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly intends to demand from the organization to appoint a special rapporteur on the issue of supply of Russian military hardware of a total of $800,000,000 to Armenia, said member of the delegation, Milli Medjlis deputy Azay Guliyev, according to Novosti-Azerbaijan.
"In the framework of the winter session of the Parliamentary Assembly of OSCE, the Azerbaijani delegation will raise the issue and try to put for discussion the supply of Russian military hardware to Armenia from the area of 102th military base, dislocated in the Armenian city of Gumri", noted Guliyev.
He said the arms supply contradicts to the OSCE principles and means violation of armament quotes.
"Moreover, armament supplies contradicts to the commitments, assumed by Russia, as the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair", noted he.
At the same time, Guliyev added that in 1996 official Moscow also refutted the fact of supply of Russian military hardware of a total of $ 1bln to Armenia, but then recognized this fact.
"Considering Russia's refusal to recognize the fact of supply of military hardware to Armenia, it would be good for OSCE to investigate this fact as Russia is also the OSCE member and the organization is a good tribute for investigation", said Guliyev.
The session will be held in Vienna (Austria) on February 17-21.
