Protest in front of Israeli embassy to Baku put off

The Islamic Party of Azerbaijan, Intellectuals movement of Azerbaijan, Karabakh Liberation Organization and Fazilet party have postponed the protest in front of the Israeli embassy to Baku, said chairman of the Intellectuals Movement Eldeniz Guliyev.
He said the Baku mayor's office has not sanctioned the action of the political structures, stating that this issue should be settled in a civilian way.

"The mayor's office recommended us to condemn Israel's actions in Gaza by way of holding press conferences via media. This response contradicts to the legislation, as under article 47 of the Constitution every citizen has a freedom of assembly.

The actions organizations do not want to hold unsanctioned events, therefore, this issue is currently being discussed", noted Guliyev.
