Eldar Sabiroghlu: "In 2008 the Armenian armed forces violated ceasefire almost every day"

Information of the Armenian Defense Ministry that Azerbaijan violated ceasefire in 2008 more than 3,000 times is incorrect, said spokesman for Azerbaijani Defense Ministry Eldar Sabiroghlu, commenting on the state of the spokesman for Armenian Defense Ministry Andranik Mkrtumyan.

"Through the past year Armenians violated ceasefire almost every day. All facts are fixed and confirmed in written. Information on all facts has been provided to international structures. By spreading such information, they want to secure themselves from criticism, said he.

At the same time, Sabiroghlu noted that casualties are reported from both sides in the result of constant ceasefire violation. He said today Armenia continues violating the ceasefire regime.

"Perhaps, Armenia is pursuing different goals. The most important is that Armenia wishes to provoke tensions in the region", said he.
