14 January 2009 [13:20] - TODAY.AZ
The Open Society Party does not intend to join a movement created by several opposition parties of Azerbaijan, said deputy chairman of the party Yagub Abbasov.
He said such associations have been repeatedly created and none of them could exist for long.

"I do not have an intention to join this group as it has no single opinion. Two agitation groups, adhering to different views, have been created. In this situation, what cooperation can be implied?

The oppositional movement against introduction of amendments to the Constitution will not last long, differences will appear between the parties at a definite stage", announced he.

Abbasov also added that the party has not yet decided about the form of its participation in the referendum.

"It is now difficult to say about the format of participation in the referendum. We are planning to discuss this issue in the nearest time", noted the deputy chairman of the party.

Notably, the Musavat party, Democratic Party of Azerbaijan, National Indepence Party of Azerbaijan, parties, represented in the Azadlyg bloc, the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan, Civil Development Party and Liberal Party of Azerbaijan, Umid party, and a number of NGOs founded the Civil Movement "For Karabakh and Republic".
