Conference of Dalga youth movement frustrated in Lenkoran

A conference of the local organization of the Dalga youth movement was to be held in Sahil restaurant in Lenkoran.

According to representative of the organization Parviz Azimov, an area was rented from the Sahil restaurant for the purpose. Invitations have been sent to some NGOs, as well as local organizations of the Yeni Azerbaijan and Musavat party.

But the reaction of powers was unexpected. Yesterday the representatives of the organization were invited to the office of chief of department for work with political parties and public organizations of executive powers Alimardan Aliyev, where they were prohibited to hold a conference.

The chief of department explained the prohibition with the absence of the permission of local powers. The attempts of the Dalga representatives to justify themselves by saying that no permission is required for holding events in close and private areas, were not accepted.

After the reaction of powers the owner of the Sahil restaurant also annulled the contract about lending the area. After that the members of the youth movement had to put off the conference.
