Protest in front of Iranian embassy to Azerbaijan put off in Baku

17 December 2008 [18:35] - TODAY.AZ
The Baku executive powers did not allow the parties, represented in the Union for Democracy, to hold the protest near the Iranian embassy to Azerbaijan.
According to chairman of the Azadlyg party, represented in the union, Ahmed Oruc, the mayor's office explained the rejection by saying that the letter has no signatures of all parties, represented in the Union For Democracy.

"Yet, the party does not intend to stop on it. The parties will appoint the next date of holding the protest at the session to be held on December 22. By preliminary version, the action will be held on either December 30 or 31 dated to the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis", noted he.

It should be noted that the Union holds the protest for the embassy to pay attention to the state of our compatriots in Iran. It was planned to hold the action on December 18.

It should be noted that the Union currently includes the Azadlyg party, the Classical Popular Front Party, Popular Party of Azerbaijan (the party is represented by Milli Medjlis deputy Panah Huseyn), Great Azerbaijan Party and National-Democratic Party of Azerbaijan.
