Prime Minister of Italy Silvio Berlusconi likely to visit Azerbaijan

"Mr. Berlusconi is satisfied with the visit of Azerbaijani President to Italy. I think Silvio Berlusconi will likely visit Baku soon. It is early to speak about the exact date of the visit, but Prime Minister promised to visit Azerbaijan," the ambassador said.

The ambassador said Azerbaijani President’s visit to Italy was very successful.

"We would be very glad to welcome head of Azerbaijani state in Rome. During the visit Mr. Ilham Aliyev discussed with Prime Minister and speaker of the parliament bilateral cooperation and regional problems. Much attention was paid to energy corridors and providing Europe with energy carriers," the ambassador said.

Gian Luigi Masha said the views of the sides coincided on most discussed issues and in this respect the visit was very constructive.
