01 December 2008 [12:16] - TODAY.AZ
The Open Society Party holds talks with other political structures on creation of a bloc, said deputy chairman of the party Yagub Abbasov.

He said talks are held with the parties that have close positions with the Open Society Party.

"Yet we do not intend to cooperate with the parties, represented in the Center of Cooperation of Opposition. We support this position, as we do not see prospects of strengthening of relations with these parties, The principles and positions of these parties are still unclear.

We are going to cooperate with the parties, which took part in presidential elections or joined them in any form. We can not have anything in common with the political structures, whose plans are still unclear", said he.

Abbasov also noted that they appealed to the Ministry of Justice with a request to review decision on the registration of the party.

"Though we have not yet received a response, we hope that this issue will be discussed at one of the collegial sessions", concluded Abbasov.

It should be reminded that the party is led by former speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament Rasul Guliyev, currently residing in the United States.

The Center notably includes the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan, Civil Development Party, Public forum "For Azerbaijan" and Musavat party.
