Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry: "Delimitation of borders with Georgia is important for Azerbaijan"

27 November 2008 [15:19] - TODAY.AZ
"Delimitation of the intergovernmental borders of Azerbaijan and Georgia remain a problem, still far from resolution", said the press service for the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan, noting that the experts of the two countries still have to work on the said issue.
The Foreign Ministry also reported noting that the delimitation of borders with Georgia is important for Azerbaijan that the next session of the commission is planned to be held in the first quarter of the next year.

It should be noted that 65% of state Azerbaijani-Georgian border, extending to 480 kilometers, has been coordinated so far.

The Albanian monastery, located on the Keshikchi dagh mountain is most debated. Georgians call it the David Gareji church and consider it their own property complaining that a part of the monastery went to Azerbaijan in the Soviet times.
