The next session of the United Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan was held on Friday, reports Day.Az with reference to the press service for the party.

As is reported, during the session the sides discussed the sociopolitical situation in the country and settled a number of steering issues.
At the session Gudrat Hasanquliyev informed the party activists about the results of the autumn session of the NATO parliamentary assembly, held in Spain.
He said the adoption of a special declaration on Russian-Georgian conflict of the NATO parliamentary assembly and provision of a special program on this country's accession to NATO play a great role for Azerbaijan.
The session participants also considered another important issue, in particular, Holodomore, which occured in Ukraine in the 1930s.
The party considers that the Soviet Union held a repressive policy against Azerbaijanis, which is proven by deployment of troops and firing on civilians in Baku on January 20 of 1990.
"The crimes against humanity were committed by the leadership of the Soviet Union, including events in Khojaly, Holodomore, will never be forgotten. The party considers that the Holodomore events should be attributed to crime. The party calls on the Azerbaijani government and Milli Medjlis to recognize Holodomore", says the statement.
The session participants also considered issue of holding a session of Milli Medjlis. The party decided to hold it on December 6.
