Azerbaijan's Minister of Labor and Social Protection: "World financial crisis will influence Azerbaijan though insignificantly"

"Azerbaijan will sustain this world financial crisis with insignificant implications", said Azerbaijan's Minister of Labor and Social Protection Fizuli Alekperov, according to Novosti-Azerbaijan.
"Undoubtedly, the world financial crisis will anyway influence Azerbaijan. But the country's parliament is discussing the state budget and all macroeconomic indicators for the next year are predicted with the sufficient growth", he told reporters Tuesday.

At the same time, according to Alekperov, the state investments growth is observed as compared to this year.

"Azerbaijan is currently more busy with the development of its infrastructure, the country is creating its competitive economy. The growth is also recorded in the social sphere. The oil fund has sufficient funds, which can help to prevent problems and render assistance to the state budget and banking system when necessary", noted he.

The Minister is also confident that the world financial crisis will influence Azerbaijan, though not significantly.

"Development is expected after each financial crisis and we will try to develop infrastructure and economy of Azerbaijan after the crisis", concluded Alekperov.
