Parliament of Azerbaijan approves appeal of president about withdrawal of peacekeeping contingent from Iraq

The Milli Medjlis of Azerbaijan has approved the appeal of President of Azerbaijan about withdrawal of a peacekeeping contingent of the country from Iraq with 86 votes for and one against.
According to Day.Az, deputy chairman of the parliamentary commission on issues of defense and security Aydin Mirzazade announced that the presidential appeal was submitted to the parliament on November 7.

He noted that through five years the Azerbaijani contingent fulfilled a peacekeeping mission in Iraq. And the term of their powers has expired.
