Parliamentary delegation of German to arrive in Azerbaijan

The German parliamentary delegation led by deputy Renate Blanc will arrive in Azerbaijan on October 29, reported the press service for the German embassy to Azerbaijan.
Reports say that the delegation will hold meetings in Milli Medjlis about the selection of Azerbaijani scholars for the program "International Parliamentary Scholarship", held by German Bundestag on October 29.

According to the sources from the embassy, in the framework of international parliamentary scholarship 120 scholars from 28 countries will get an opportunity to familiarize with the activity of the German parliament "from inside" from March 31 until July 1 of 2009.

The aim of the program is to study and take part in the political processes and get involved into the process of preparation and adoption of political decisions.

The scholars will work at the office of the Bundestag deputy, simultaneously being able to hear lectures and take part in the events at one of the Berlin universities.

The program is held under the leadership of the Bundestag president in the framework of the cooperation with Berlin universities.

The trip, staying in the country and insurance will be financed by the program organizers. Moreover, a scholarship will be paid each month.

Furthermore, in the framework of the visit to Azerbaijan the German delegation will meet with figures in the spheres of politics, economy and education.
