Date of Ilham Aliyev's inauguration defined

Thus, on October 22, the session of the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan, presided by Farhad Abdullayev, declared the election of presidential candidate Ilham Aliyev as president of Azerbaijan.

Under article 103 of the Constitution of Azerbaijan the inauguration of a person, elected as a president of the country, shall be held within three days from the official declaration of results of elections by the Constitutional Court.

The presidential term starts from the day of inauguration.

It should be reminded that I.Aliyev won over 88% votes at the elections held on October 15.
