Ali Ahmedov: "There have been significant changes in the philosophy of electoral campaign in Azerbaijan"

"The agitation campaign of presidential elections of 2008 is held in different conditions and in a different form", said Ali Ahmedov, deputy chairman of the Yeni Azerbaijan Party and plenipotentiary representative of presidential candidate Ilham Aliyev in his interview, posted on the official website of the Yeni Azerbaijan Party.

He said there have been significant changes in the philosophy of the electoral campaign in Azerbaijan.

"We are highly appreciating this fact and we prefer this electoral campaign. Elections in the political life of Azerbaijan have turned into an event which is constantly repeating. We are against the fact that separate political powers are criticizing each other and abuse honor and dignity.

It should be noted that the electoral campaign must be held in such a cultural form that the society could unite for the idea of civil solidarity.

These elections differ for their professionalism. Candidates, which held the agitation campaign, work more for voters and try to introduce their platform to each voter.

In this situation it is unfair and incorrect to say that the agitation campaign was passive", said he.
