Qudrat Hasanquliyev: "Powers of municipalities should be expanded in Azerbaijan"

He said it is necessary to create the Baku and Ganja large city municipalities and grant them all the authority in Azerbaijan.

"The work of these municipalities will be aimed at settling the problems in separate regions. In particular, we consider it necessary to restore such kinds of transport as tram, It is the most ecologically clean transport.

Moreover, people must elect the head of their region. Today, we see something different. A person, who does not know the psychology of people, whom he heads, takes actions, which do not comply with his work. If people elect the head of the state, why can't they elect the head of the executive powers", announced he.

Hasanquliyev noted that it is necessary to empower municipalities to sell lands under profitable conditions for construction of individual flats for residents of their administrative divisions, martyrs' families, disabled of Karabakh, war veterans and state officials.

Moreover, the candidate offers to allocate the lands on the area to the owners of the facilities, related to the areas, where communication lines are passing, on the areas where there are nonoperative oil wells, belonging to the State Oil Company and compensations for construction of flats.
