CIS executive secretary Sergey Lebedev launched meetings in Azerbaijan to study preparations for presidential elections in the country.

Interfax-Azerbaijan reports with reference to ANS that Sergey Lebedev arrived in Azerbaijan from Bishkek and held meetings in the Sumgayit city administration and the district electoral commission to familiarize with the election situation.
Moreover, the executive secretary, as the head of the CIS observer mission will visit several constituencies in Baku, hold meetings with country's leadership, as well as talks with head of the OSCE observer mission Boris Frlec and other persons.
The CIS observer mission, led by Lebedev, will hold a monitoring of elections on the voting day on October 15 and will present a report by results of elections on October 16.
