
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov received Gambian State Secretary on higher education, science and technologies Crispin Grey-Johnson, said the press service for the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan.
Voicing satisfaction with his first visit to our country, Johnson noted that after gaining independence Azerbaijan has attained great achievements. He said most countries, including Gambia, are displaying greater interest in Azerbaijan.
The state secretary noted that his country wishes to study the experience of Azerbaijan in the sphere of oil, establish relations with the Oil Academy of Azerbaijan, hold exchange in the sphere of education and hold joint researches in the spheres of oil engineering, geophysics and geological exploration.
Moreover, Johnson said the Foreign Minister of Gambia wishes to visit Azerbaijan and establish partner relations between the two countries.
In turn, Mamedyarov spoke of economic achievements, including energy projects. At the same time, the Minister invited the delegation of the Gambian oil corporation to visit Azerbaijan and establish ties between the corporations.
