The Azerbaijan National Independence Party confirmed a decision to observe the presidential elections, said party spokesman for press and agitation Ali Orujev.

He noted that as the party will follow the presidential elections, it has already got the right to observe them in almost 90% of constituencies.
"We will not take part in the elections, as we have no candidate. In turn, the observation of elections will allow us to fix all violations to be recorded in period of presidential elections.
Moreover, we are planning to adopt a program, which will reflect the whole voting process and assess the elections", said he.
It should be reminded that the party was represented by its leader Etibar Mamedov at the 2003 presidential elections. At that time the candidate was able to gain 2,92% votes.
