Ilham Aliyev's election website launched

The 2008 presidential campaign will fall in memory for the use of technological innovations in the virtual area. The Central Electoral Commission has announced the coverage of 10% (500 stations) of constituencies by web cameras, which enable to observe voting and calculation of votes online.

Today the election campaign team in the person of the plenipotentiaries of presidential candidate Ilham Aliyev has presented the internet source, which is available at the page http://ilhamlaireli.az/

The originally formatted website attracts attention for its design. The voters are provided with full information about the activity of the presidential candidate: visits to the regions, speeches, receptions and trips. It should be noted that the website is available in Azerbaijani, Russian and English languages.

In a special section "Azerbaijan 2003-2008" the voters are invited to have a virtual trip to the period of Ilham Aliyev's presidency and familiarize with the results of the activity both in the socioeconomic and political spheres of country's life. The section "Program" presents the election platform of the chairman of the Yeni Azerbaijan party and his vision of main issues of country's development for the next five years.

The section, which is the most interesting for journalists, is the "Press center", in which mass media representatives can find information about the current activity of the election campaign team. Along with the text information, the internet source has new photos of Ilham Aliyev.

The website envisions the feedback link with the users, by means of which it is possible to send an e-letter to the election campaign team of the candidate.
