President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has congratulated the Jewish people on occasion of the Rosh-Ha-Shana holiday, reports Day.Az with reference to AzerTac.

The appeal says that Jewish people have lived in our country for centuries and have never faced antisemitism or discrimination, and the nations have maintained friendly and brother relations.
"I would like to note with a deep satisfaction that today the Jewish community takes part in the sociopolitical and scientific and cultural life of independent Azerbaijan, fulfills its civil duty in the further consolidation of state independence with dignity, in the work for informing the world society of the truth about Azerbaijan", says the letter.
Ilham Aliyev wished happiness and welfare to the Jewish people.
