Yurddash party holds monitoring due to upcoming presidential elections in Azerbaijan

He said the purpose of holding a monitoring is to define general situation before the presidential elections.

"The results of the monitoring showed that the candidates were able to conduct signature collection without interference of the executive power representatives.

All conditions were provided for the candidates in line with the new amended Electoral Code. Those candidates who were really able to collect the necessary number of signatures have already been registered in the Central Election Commission.

As is seen, the opposition representatives are actively involved in the process. We also establish contacts with them, as the purpose of the monitoring is to provide the exact information about the election campaign.

We further intend to continue the monitoring. In particular, we will actively watch the conduction of the agitation campaign by the candidates, organization of their meeting with voters and the overall process of elections. We hope that this process will be as successful as the previous ones", said he.

Safarli also noted that at the presidential elections they will support candidate from the ruling party Ilham Aliyev. In this connection, the party will hold an action in support of this candidacy.
